BISHOP KENNETH C. ULMER, D. Min., Ph.D.

Dr. Kenneth C. Ulmer, who pastors Faithful Central Bible Church, located in Inglewood, California, ministers under the favor of God as one of the most sought after speakers of his time. Since his arrival more than twenty-six years ago, the congregation has grown from 350 to more than 13,000. Dr. Ulmer and the Faithful Central Bible Church are the new owners of the Great Western Forum where they now hold their Sunday morning worship services.

Dr. Ulmer received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcasting/Music from the University of Illinois, after accepting his call to the ministry. In 1979, Dr. Ulmer founded Macedonia Bible Baptist Church in San Pedro, California. He was called to the pastorate of Faithful Central Missionary Baptist Church, which is now Faithful Central Bible Church, in January 1982. His inexhaustible thirst for knowledge led him to continue his graduate work at Pepperdine University, Hebrew Union College, and the University of Judaism.

In June 1986, he received The Doctor of Philosophy Degree from Grace Graduate School of Theology, Long Beach, California, which became the West Coast Campus of Grace Theological Seminary. In May 1999, he received his Doctor of Ministry from United Theological Seminary.

He was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Divinity from Southern California School of Ministry, Los Angeles, California in June 1989. He furthered his education by participating in the study of Ecumenical Liturgy and Worship at Magdalene College at Oxford University, Oxford, England in 1994 and continues his studies at Christ Church and Wadham College at Oxford University.

He has served as an instructor in Pastoral Ministry and Homiletics at Grace Theological Seminary, instructor of African-American Preaching at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, an adjunct professor at Biola University and Pepperdine University, and mentor in the Doctor of Ministry degree program at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. Currently he is an adjunct professor at The King’s College and Seminary in Los Angeles. He serves as Dean of the Summer Session at Oxford; a summer course of study under the auspices of The King’s College and Seminary and Macedonia International Bible Fellowship, held at Keble College, University of Oxford.

In 1994, he was consecrated Bishop of Christian Education of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, where he also sat on the Bishops’ Council. Dr. Ulmer has served on the Board of Directors of The Gospel Music Workshop of America, the Board of Trustees of Biola University, the Pastor’s Advisory Council for the City of Inglewood and the Board of Trustees of Southern California School of Ministry. He is a founding board member of The King’s College and Seminary.

Dr. Ulmer’s giftedness has also propelled him into the literary world as an accomplished writer. He is the author of three books: “A New Thing”, a reflection on the Full Gospel Baptist Movement, and “Spiritually Fit to Run the Race”, a Guide to Godly Living, “The Anatomy of God”, “In His Image” explores a unique comparison of man’s anatomy: as a physical reflection of God and his latest book, “Making Your Money Count”.

On March 17, in the year 2000, Dr. Ulmer was installed as the Presiding Bishop over the Macedonia International Bible Fellowship, with churches representing the countries of Zimbabwe, Namibia, Angola, Republic of the Congo, South Africa and the United States.

Dr. Ulmer is a devoted husband and father. He and his lovely wife of 31 years, Togetta, two daughters, RoShaun and Keniya, and son Kendan, are residents of Los Angeles, California.

Charlie was appointed National Director of MIBF by Bishop Ulmer in 2007.

Charlie believe that “All people were born different but for a specific purpose” Charlie holds a National Diploma in Human Resources (Tshwane University of Technology), a Labour Relations Management Specialist Certificate (IPM), Leading Change Programme (University of Michigan Business School) and Management Development Programme (University of Pretoria). Charlie’s career started at CSIR and thereafter, he worked at the Office of The Auditor General SA, the Integrated Labour Solutions Pty and his last Employment was as Human Resources & Development Manager at African Bank Limited. He is the Founder and Managing Director of ZOE Business Consulting; He has recently been appointed National Director of the MIBF and President of EDNAfrica (Enterprise Development Network).

Charlie is also a Board Member of the Board of Trustees of the International Third World Leaders Association (with Dr Myles Munroe) incorporating over 64 nations worldwide with its head quarters in Nassau Bahamas.
